QUOTE
I really don't care. Let people hate on the music all they want. Im going to continue to listen to it no matter what. I could stereotype rock just as easily as rap. I wouln't worry about it being stereotyped though because most of the people who stereotype it are more than likely rockers who feel the need to criticize rap because they don't fully enjoy the music they listen to. There are forms of music in which I don't necessarily listen to, but you won't find me posting on a forum saying how it doesn't require talent.

Topic Claimed
well that's because other forms of music do require talent.

Are you willing to validate that statement. Thats just like saying anyone can shoot a basketball. Well of course they can but that doesn't necessarily mean they have the required skill for the sport. You even said in an earlier post that rap does takes lyrical skill. You say anyone can rap which is a bogus claim. True anyone can talk on a musical beat, but you still must have the rhythm in order to make it presentable and respectable.

Since you're so stuck on that opinion why don't you record yourself rapping and post it in this topic so you can prove what you're saying is true, otherwise you're arguement is unvalid. =]

Exactly my point. You said he made a rap but It wasn't a good rap.

So in other words, I can do rock music or any other genre even if its good or not.

^ Of course its simple, doesn't matter what note I hit, whether its good or bad, anyone can play the guitar no matter if it sounds good or not, just as you said anyone can rap whether its good or not.

i think you missunderstood what i meant by it wasn't good.

it wasn't top notch delivery, but as far as the rap was, it was on par with pro rap.

sad isn't it?

he was doing everything professional rap artists do- all that crappy singing about raping girls, chant like, no tune.

" and they ran around like "fo' shnazzle i like Snapple !! " , " bitches and hoes, bitches and hoes ! " .. "yo yo yo yo yo !!! " ..  stubborn.gif .. forrealz, not all rappers are like that ..

3 ]] . and people know i listen to rap .. , so like some people, when they see me, they're like " SUP GANGSTA ?? " .. or " WASSUP HOMIE ?? YO YO YO YO ! " ..

...................................................WHAT THE f**k?

Dang..lucky I wasn't in that class.

Not only do people stereotype rap..they stereotype you because of the type of music you listen to.

Like...me and my friends were walking down the street...we wanted to go some where before we had practice...and these people drive by and have the nerve to put it on some station where they mostly play rap..and turn it up real loud...and yell out the window "GET CRUNK FOR RIZZLE!!!!!!!!!!!"...

ermm.gif Dumbasses.

Then in front of the movie theaters...my friend was listening to her iPod..and these random people come up and are like, "What are you listening to?"

and she says..blush.gif well i don't remember..some rap song...

and they were like, "that's tight! that's tight!"

rolleyes.gif they went in to see the same movie as us..and kept saying after anything funny happened "that's tight! that's tight!"

Yeah..just because someone listens to a certain type of music..doesn't mean they talk a certain way..or act a certain way. rolleyes.gif
