/*make tables transparent*/
table, tr, td {background:transparent;}

/*remove left column (picture, details, etc)*/
table table table table, table table table table td.text, table.contactTable {display:none;}

/*hide blogs & about me*/
td.text table, .orangetext15 {visibility:hidden;}

/*unhide about me (so the divs will show up)*/
td.text table table {display:inline; visibility:visible;}

/*remove friend space, comments, and calendar*/
td.text td.text table {display:none;}

/*remove bottom links*/

<div id=layer1 style="position:absolute; top:20; left:20; width:300; height:300; z-index:1; padding:5px; border:000000 2px solid; background-color: 000000; background-image:url(yourfilename.gif); layer-background-image:url(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v637/xoashleyxo/ac11fcdb.jpg);">

Content goes here (images, text)

</div>
div b font font, div font font u {display:none;}

<div class="bg" style="position: absolute; left:0px; top:0px; width:000px; height:000px; overflow: hidden;">
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v637/xoashleyxo/ac11fcdb.jpg">
</div>

<div class="content" style="position: absolute; left:000px; top:000px; width:000px; height:000px; overflow: auto;"><center>
lalalalala this is your content!
</div>

</style>

and in the who i'd like to meet
<DIV class="Main"> <table style="width:800px; height:600px; cellpadding:0px; cellspacing:0px; border:2px solid silver; background-color:ffffff;}">

okay, where it says
QUOTE
<div class="bg" style="position: absolute; left:0px; top:0px; width:000px; height:000px; overflow: hidden;">
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v637/xoashleyxo/ac11fcdb.jpg">
</div>

You didn't change the width and height. that is why the banner does not show up. and you were spposed to put that in your WHO I'D LIKE TO MEET. you must've read the 'simple div overlay' topic. but you didn't read the content, did you? cause it clearly said to put it there.

anyways, also here

QUOTE
<div class="content" style="position: absolute; left:000px; top:000px; width:000px; height:000px; overflow: auto;"><center>
lalalalala this is your content!
</div>

you have to cange LALAL this is your content to something else, change thee width and height. edit the 000 in left and top so that it will go over the image to where you want it to.

and

where it says

QUOTE
<DIV class="Main"> <table style="width:800px; height:600px; cellpadding:0px; cellspacing:0px; border:2px solid silver; background-color:ffffff;}">
<tr> <td valign="top">
YOUR PAGE CONTENT (HTML/FLASH) HERE
</td> </tr> </table> </DIV>

you put those two codes inside this code where it says "your page content(html/flash) here." (but make sure you edit it first like I told you or else it won't work).

see what's the width and height of your image. but your image.. it's just a line. i dont think that's for a div layout. mellow.gif

if you leave it at 000px it'll stay under the ad. but ONLY if you put it where i told you to.

and you can add a new div by just using this code.

QUOTE
<div class="content" style="position: absolute; left:000px; top:000px; width:000px; height:000px; overflow: auto;"><center>
lalalalala this is your content!
</div>

just keep repeating that for every new div you want, but you HAVE TO change the positioning and the width, height. ;x and of course the content.

how do you move the image to the center of the page so you can resize it and make it as big as the page?

well, first the image has to be big. and to move it to the center, like I said, change the top and left numbers until you get it towards the center.
