okay, thinking of that movie the Excorism of emily rose and all those other excorcist movies and stories. ive always wondered, why and how do u get "possessed". i mean, it was never really explained, and the bible doesnt really answer that question either. can it just.. happen. or do you have to do something?
if this is spam....well um sorry  . look at it this way today has been a "spammy" day. so if this is spam, just look at it as another spam of the day  i figured this question wouldnt be answered any other way than making it a topic. plus my sister asked me the question so i thought "Hey! lets ask the people of cb! they have all the answers!"

My religion teacher's StRaNgE, and she explained it:
So, someone who becomes possessed must first invite the powers in, whether it be thourgh ouji boards, witchcraft, etc. Basic contact to the world of the nonliving. You call upon dark forces. Without protection from good forces, like gaurdian angels, you are left vulnereable to attack. Demons, spirits, "evil" angles are called into your body. You can actually have more than one demon possessing your body. The exorcism movies aren't exactly that accurate about what possession looks like; those cases turn up every once in a while, but aren't that common. Ok, so yeah. |

i think people get possesed because they don't expect it and evil is lurking everywhere and its trying to get us..

My friend told me a story about possession!!
They lived in a boarding school next to a cemetary, and they were bored. So they made themselves unconscious (dont as why..they were bored?) and then when they woke up, one of their friends was "possessed". So the guy literally had red eyes and spoke in a demonic deep voice. He started attacking one of the guys. Umm someone ran up to their room and got exorcist stuff. They waved the cross at the possessed guy and he went "HAH, you think that's gonna stop ME?!" and then they threw 'holy water' at him. It literally sizzled on him and he collapsed. And he woke up ok. WEIRD, huh?!?! *They made themselves unconscious by breathing heavily and then holding their breath, blocks off blood to the brain* Don't try it at home.. |

Well from what ive studied The possessor must need the body for something, Maybe the possessor needs to get close to someone or is giving a warning. In movies its usually to basically tell people that Lucifer is coming and that he will be avenged and what not but its just for theatrical purposes

I think evils can just enter anyone's body but i dont understand why cant all evils can just go enter anybody then start doing something harmful and attacking the community to form choatic flame community.
I dont know why people have to play a "game" in order to have chances be possesed. |

There are alot of cases of possessions that can't be explained away. Alot of cases involve infliction to the body that is seen happening with out the peron touching themselves in anyway, multiple voices coming from one person, things moving on their own, ect.. There was a case with a little boy who threw vases at the priests even though he was tied to the bed, and proclaimed "he" was there simply to cause harm. Possession seems to be happening more and more now anyway.
Im with Death2Smilee as far as an explanation as to why/how it happens. |

i have no clue to be honest on how it happens. i always thought of it like schitzo... w/e because it seems like they have multiple personalities.
