I am sorry if this is posted already but I was tooo lazy to check.
I made arm stockings from my old stockings from when i was 4 years old. Then I took some army boots from my dad's old stuff and repainted it and put a chain there. I made a black ribbon necklace from those laces in weddings or funerals. Sometimes I cut a shirt so it can show the waist then i stitch it to a corset..haha I don't usually do this. i only do this if my mom bans me from Hot Topic what about you guys? ever made something out of old junk? |

I've never done it before, but it sounds awesome, you get totally original clothing. I've made a couple shirts before, but that's it.

You guys should do it. It's really fun, and if people look at you in a weird way in school, all I say is, "I recycle...beyotch!"

^lol =] When I was little, i turned a pair of jeans into capris, then shorts. Haha, me and my broke ass. Cut knee skirts into a mini. Umm, cut really long baggy shirts so they aren't as low. Yeah, so what i mainly do it cut.

My baby and younger sisters do that, they made arm warmers once. && my friend made a skirt for Warped Tour from some of her old clothes.
I wouldn't know what to make if I wanted to...Plus, my family thinks I'm retarded or something whenever I start dragging out shit and clothes. My grandma used to make clothes and stuff..recently did brides' maids dresses for my aunt's weddings. So I've got tons of scraps and needles in my baby sister's room... ...Okay, now I feel like being productive, haha! |

I really want a sewing maching, or learn how to knit. |

I made arm warmers out of scraps of black fabric...I saw them at hot topic, they were five friggin bucks for a scrap of cloth tied together at the ends...it's amazing what prices people will put on things nowadays. I made my own at home for free.

^ ive done that.
im an aspiring fashion designer. ive made skirtts out of jeans then used left over material for bracelts or a pattern on the skirt or for designs on a shirt. i also make shirts, simple ones but with slogans, pictures or words on them. ive made armwarmers out of legwarmers and i cut holes in my fishnets to wear on my hands like a glove. i want to learn to knit too. but im sticking with my sewing machine until i have time i mainly learned to do all that because my family & i cant afford clothes. so i take old ones and spice them up. |

I've made skirts, shirts and dresses from complete scratch (like just fabric) but it is fun to re-invent clothing. My friend and I turned 5 awesome 80's inspired shirts we got at a thrift store into a skirt.

ooh I love diy recyle stiff. I made a pair of jeans into a mini skirt. I do lots of stuff like that because I do fashion and costume design in my spare time. So yeah I also have these giant betty boop t-shirts (like 3 xl) and I turn them into really cute cute up shirts and stuff. Its very entertaining. And cheap.

Thanks purpleyes! I made a new design! I took a leather jacket and cut it up and attached it to a pair of pants. So it's kinda like jeans stitched up to a leather skirt with a bunch of my chemical romance pics on it XD.

Making your own clothes is so fun. x]
just made this shirt out of a realllyyy old skirt. It used to be my mom's, and she's wayyy skinny, so it didn't fit me. So i cut it up and made a halter top. ![]() ![]() [bought the snakeskin belt for $1.oo. booya.] |
