Now, the biggest appeasement attempt I know of is the Big Hitler incident. So the question is....does appeasement work effectively?? This is not just limited it to Hitler, but in the regular lives of people as well. (for example, a child wants some candy from her father, and he gives her to her only to find out she wants more).
I for one, am against it. I believe people underestimate the power of greed. Even the littlest taste of power can corrupt the minds of people into power-hungry humans. ( I'm sorry for the lack of words I'm saying. I'm not sure what to say. |

I generally do not believe in appeasement because of the results it often produces. When, to use your example, a child wants candy, and her father gives her some, it will generally result in her wanting more. Moreover, it can be seen as hypocritical because if the father had previously stated that she was not allowed to have candy, giving her some would make him inconsistent, and as viewed by the child, easily influenced.
