many beauty products have a best before date, but even if its not printed on the pakeage, all products have a limited lifespan. using outdated makeup can result in clumpy application, irritation & even infection.
so here a chart to help you how long your makeup can last _smile.gif.

Foundation

Liquid Water-Based - one year
Oil Based - 18 month
Cream - up to one year
Powder - up to two years

Concealer

Liquid Water-Based - one year
Oil-Based - 18 months
Cream - up to one year

EyeShadow

Cream - up to one year
Powder - two years

EyeLiner

Liquid - six months
Cream - up to one year
Pencil - two years

Mascara

Cream - up to one year
Tube - three months

Blush

Liquid - one year
Cream - up to one year
Powder - up to two years

LipLiner

Pencil - two years

LipStick

LipStick - up to two years

LipGloss

LipGloss - six months

Nail Polish

Nail Polish - up to two years

Other Signs Of Out Of Date Makeup

- liquid contents have seperated
- it should be moist, but has dried up
- the surface is spotted & discolored or particles are floating inside the container
- pencil tips are coated white of grey
- lids are coated with hardened product
- it's goopy, clumpy or the consistency has changed
- it smells bad
- the application is inconsistent
the color has changed

Extend A Product's Shelf Life

Do
- apply it with a cotton swab, sponge or clean brush to reduce baterial contaminstion
- close lids firmly to keep air & germs out
- store in a dark, dry & cool place

Dont
- apply with your fingers
- keep it open unless you are using it
- store in the bathroom. heat & humidity 'cause premature aging

This kinda thing is pretty helpful. My basic rule of thumb is "If i've had it for more than a year or two....toss it"

A really helpful guide.
However, I don't use make-ups, but quite helpful for those who use make-ups.
