Ok, I know I've never been to camp and all.. but still.

At school, I guess there are cliques and stuff and your social life depends on who you hang out with and there's gossip and guys that are going to be in your grade for a long time. Plus, there are going to be a lot of people in your grade and you're with them for your school-year. And you have to choose who to be friends with because you would probably hang out with them throughout the schoolyear like during school and weekends and stuff. But at camp, there is really no commitment. You can make a fool of yourself in front of other people and bam, by next summer you might not even see them. There are no cliques at camp (unless there is) and you can just be friends with anyone and not know about how they're judged at school.

Did that make sense?

I beg to differ.
When I was at camp, I made no friends. No one liked me.
Oh well. :)

Eh thats a good question.

I think it's maybe because they don't really know you. Hmm they're more polite yeah.

Because at camp, it's all fun and games..plus you don't know anyone. While at school, you form all these little cliques and stuff..

When you are at camp you have a lot more group activities, in my opinion. At school a lot of thigns are independant like homework and essays unless it's a group project. I think it's easier at camp because it's a fresh new start with people you don't know and you can learn new things about them over the time period of camp. You're with them for awhile and you spend a large portion of the day with them. At school, while you are still spending majority of the day with people, you are so distracted with the school work and steriotypes that you don't bond with people as well. When you are at camp you don't really care, it's not as stressful as school it.

Thats just my opinion =)

I have never been to camp.
But I think it's easier to make friends there because maybe they don't have friends there...but in school they usually have their own group to hang out with, but camp everyone is looking for someone to be friends with...ahh I don't know.
Did that make sense? wacko.gif

hmm.. camp is eaiser to mke friends cuz lyk another person said.. "you spend more time with them" lyk you even sleep in the same cabin/tent as them.. but as skewl.. all of your friends might not be in ur class.. plus you can't even talk in class while the teacher is talking.. so maybe that's why..

Because at school you listen to a teacher talk and the main focus of school is to give you an education, not for you to make friends

THAT HAPPENED TO ME TOO
WOW
lol

i think its cuz you spend a lot more time together, and like someone else said no cliques form, or hardly any. like for me, i spent 7 nights with 5 ppl in a cabin and we became really close! its pretty awesome. i miss camp!

because.. in my opinion you only see the people at camp very little and may never see them again.. so naturally you'll try to be nice and show your best qualities

I've never really been to camp. I guess because at school theres all this stress, and then you have this reputation. Your suppose to hang out with this clique, or study with these people, or not study at all in some cases.... But at camp people don't know much about you so it's easier.

I think its because in camp, you're supposed to socialize and in school its more about grades and learning then socializing.
