LOL... my goodness. he played games for 50 hours ... then died. ROFL. heart failure... very scary. and this was in korea lol. i better watch out rofl.

QUOTE
The 28-year-old man, identified only by his family name Lee, had been playing online battle simulation games at the cybercafe in the southeastern city of Taegu, police said.

Lee had planted himself in front of a computer monitor to play on-line games on August 3. He only left the spot over the next three days to go to the toilet and take brief naps on a makeshift bed, they said.

"We presume the cause of death was heart failure stemming from exhaustion," a Taegu provincial police official said by telephone.

Lee had recently quit his job to spend more time playing games, the daily JoongAng Ilbo reported after interviewing former work colleagues and staff at the Internet cafe.

After he failed to return home, Lee's mother asked his former colleagues to find him. When they reached the cafe, Lee said he would finish the game and then go home, the paper reported.

He died a few minutes later, it said.

South Korea, one of the most wired countries in the world, has a large and highly developed game industry.

this isn't surprising... especially since i've seen this a lot in one day  blink.gif .

what also makes this non-surprising is that south korea is big for lots of it's gaming. lots of popular games are played there (i.e. : Starcraft, WoW (World Of Warcraft))

there was also another incident in south korea where 2 parents were really obsessed with world of warcraft. left their 4 month old baby at home by himself while they played World Of Warcraft at an internet cafe.

he died of SIDS.

its also hitting china too. there was this one guy in china, he killed this other guy for not giving him some video game items.
*

it wasn't really the parents' fault that the baby died, no one knows what causes SIDS nor does anyone know how to prevent it.

it's not always an obsession, he could have been sponsored to play video games. people will sponsor you if you're really good at something so the company can get publicity.

It's actually pretty sad.

The point remains that the parents left a 4-month-old home alone because they were too busy playing a videogame.

It's funny because he died because he was playing way too much computer games. He even quit his job just to play games. Think about it. You don't think that's stupid and funny? Forget about his death. It's his own fault for playing too much.
