Obviously not. If I don't help in Myspace Help, what do I do in that forum? Are my posts in there not help?

Sorry if I have other, more important things on my mind.

Calm down. It's okay that you don't post in there ALL the time. You don't have to spend your time in there posting your whole time while you're online. I understand that you might have other things on your mind. You do help in there but not as much, but you told me that you accept and reject skins alot to. So that's still helping, actually doin your job. _smile.gif

.....Giving me a 5 out of 10 isn't OK.

And I love Tracy to death, but how much does she post in Myspace Help....? And our ratings are equal?

You need to know things that people do before you judge them. Tracy accepts/rejects skins and scripts too. So does Kara.

YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT GOES ON. You need to get that in your head.

And saying all this stuff about how we're so bad and how you should be on staff is pathetic and not doing anything for you. We've already made our decision about that.

No, I don't know what goes on behind all this but. Okay, what does me wanting to be on staff have to do with anything? You know what, I really don't like having conversations like this so. I'm sorry okay. You deserve better than what I gave you okay? Now can we stop this?

What does it have to do with this? Oh please. We all know how desperate you are to become a mod. You've IMed mods a bunch of times saying how much you help. That's what made our decision what it is. And that's why you gave us all such low ratings, saying how much you help and how you're not staff.

But fine.

people just stop complaining about mods.

as long as the appropriate mod actions are getting done, why care who does them?

I just think I deserve it, becuase I help out alot and would be good on the position. And I think it's stupid if you don't plan on modding me for me IMing mods about it. Rather than modding me for my qualifcations. And I gave low ratings to who I felt needed them. But now since you've told me all this stuff about the backstage work like accepting and rejecting skins. I didn't think of that. I forgot that mods have things that they do to help out behind the scenes. ermm.gif And I'm sorry for feeling that way.

if there are no deficiencies in mods, there is no reason to appoint more even if the candidates are qualified.

methinks you just want someone demodded so you can hope to be appointed to that vacancy.

No. Why would I want that when they need more design staff mods, and plus that's just mean to wish someone the worst. They need to keep who they have, then add more when they see fit.

No they really need more myspace mods. I'm guessing because technically cb only has one active mod. Sammi.

Why do we need more ? What would more MySpace mods do ?
Are you going to say because MySpace Help needs more help ? Why ?
And I think you mean because you think CB has only one active MYSPACE mod. Sammi isn't the only active MOD.

And yes, we ARE leaving the staff applications open. Just 'cause they're there doesn't mean we constantly need staff.

Ok before this turns into a full scale shouting match....I just want to say a few things about what just happened:

1) Alvin seems to be getting and/or was getting a head on attack by the mods and that makes me both heartbroken and defensive of him as a person cry.gif . Why? Because he keeps saying he's sorry where as I'm sure everyone on here- every member-every moderator- has at one point in time made an assumption about a person or a person's position in this forum. I admit I have made that mistake. I don't believe all the mods are mean; I don't believe any of them are unqualified, but I do believe it is not your job in any way to yell in unison at a member bringing him to the point where that member no longer feels worthy of membership.

Is it not true that we are all trying to desperately gain a simple understanding as to how the entire staff system works through this thread?

But after a good several pages it turned into an Alvin Bashing thread, a rating contest thread, and a shout match. For a few moments I thought I had gone back many years and revisited middle school and it made me sick to see several staff members yelling at Alvin and also headphones having to try to defend her staff position which she should NEVER have had to do. I don't think that's the point of this thread.

2) I like the staff a lot and I believe that most of them do a very good job--especially after seeing/reading some of the incidents/people/problems they've had to deal with. Several of them have inspired me---I read a lot on the forum even before i joined it. But as for the whole "backstage" situation--the word itself (backstage) makes me think the staff is turning into somewhat of a clan. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing- I am not on staff and wouldn't know. Some people would even go as far as to say I don't have enough posts to have an opinion- but the idea is not a createblog thing.

I just felt like I learned something from reading this.

I think some of the most important qualifications you can have for a staff position on any forum, for any job, for any type of enrollment are: maturity, guidance, compassion, and willingness to put yourself in another person's shoes.

I'm sorry if that offended anybody or mad someone angry in anyway. And I too apologize ahead of time if this causes any sort of debate. It was not meant in that way. This was to show both my opinion on the thread itself and what it had turned into.

It is. However, trying to understand is one thing, but to judge before you understand is another. So far, a lot of people question our competence when they have no idea of what goes on. To be fair, you'd have to see this from our perspective.

Actually, do you think the point of this thread is to let members say crap about moderators for no reason? No, it isn't. From the first few pages moderators have replied to comments, good and bad, from members to justify why we do what we do.

What?
Do you know how you get food from McDonalds? Well, the franchise is backed by many people working together. You don't see this when you buy the food, you just get the food, how the food comes to you is "backstage" work. As you can see, that's just one example. Backstage is where we have meetings and discussions. I don't understand why that would make it clan-like. Would you kindly explain further?

i think, mayhaps, there should be a synopsis of backstage or something.

i know the need of backstage and the need that members don't know what's going on back there...

but i think there are some things that it wouldn't hurt for members to know about (although letting them reply to it would be bad), so how about a closed thread where someone will post what's happening in backstage each day so all the mystery and controversy about backstage is cleared up?

i think it's more of the fact that members don't know what's being said backstage and that's what's bothering them.

People who loves fast food don't mind about what's going on behind the scene at McDs all that much, so why should members mind about what goes on backstage?

Curiosity is hardly a reason, IMHO.
