Anyways. Of course it's called Summer school because it's on the summers. And not many people take summer school because they HAVE BREAKS. So not to confuse people, they say it "I have to go to Summer School" . THINK ABOUT IT.

I'm taking summer classes because I have to do this stupid highschool test. I'm being punished because I'm *cringes* smart, not because I failed. It's not my choice, I have to.

Anyway, I do get what your trying to say, but would you rather take the classes during the school year? It's better to catch up before hand so you wont be hit with a ton of work.

i dont know about anywhere else but at my school, its for bringing ur grades up so u wont fail or if u miss too many days then u can just make it up

I've been to summer school 3 times. Two times at a community college to get more credits, and another time because I wasnt satisfied with the math grade I got. And I dont see why summer school does not make sense to you. Some people need it to graduate also.

my god, people don't go because they're below average

most of the people i know have to go because their schools require them to take electives but they were never given the electives so they have to make them up in summer school.

for example, my boyfriend's school did not offer him gym but it's required so he has to go to summer school to have gym.

the school system is usually the problem, not the students.

WOW, guys summer school isnt just for people who want to take a course again because they did bad. Ive taken summer school 2 years in a row, so i was going into grade 10 going into grade 11 i already finished my grade 11 english credit. That left me some space to do other fun courses. Alright?? I know im a nerd.

My teachers have been saying that our district is thinking of not doing summer school anymore :D

They always hear the crap "I can just make this up in summer school" which really is ridiculous. They're thinking that if they just don't do summer school anymore, everybody will get to gear and pass during the regular school year so that a bunch of people's summer's won't be wasted. Sounds good in theory, but I don't think it will work :/
