its really just a personal prefrence to me. for me, i dont want to grow up being a loser or having no friends. i also dont want to be one of those people that have friends but not that much and your friends and you are kind of annoying and loud. i confess that i am not one of those popular jock people..but i am certainly not one of the people that i said before because i have alot of friends..like 30 or something like that. i dont get along with the jocks so i hang out with the other people that are '2nd place' popular if you know what i mean and stuff..

it doesn't matter to me if i'm super popular or not..just as long as i have good friends and i'm i guess u could say..'well known' and yea...i guess people really do treat u better when you're popular..thats just how it is now...

popularity. when i think of popular girls i think of the mean girls in my school who really irritate me =/ (but of course there are those few who are actually really nice)
then again im at the other end of the social scale so i guess you cant really judge until you experience it .. but i dont think it matters unpopular and proud! got me an amazing bf, super awesome friends, kick butt computer =D lol. ...and ya |

the thing u said how u wanted to be center of attention; and u wont get dispeise by anyone..well i think that is untrue because when ppl are so called "popular" people do hate them for most reasons and its not cuz they are jealous. popular are snobby inconsiderate and well down right wrong..well watever thats my opinion..i think its better to be known that youre a good person than be popular cuz of clothes and shit like that

All I'm asking is this-- is it really gonna matter that you're popular once you get out of college? Will it really do you any good? Just a thought. I don't really want to be popular. As long as I have my friends, I don't care if I am the lowest person on the popularity chart. Toodles.
Alot of the movie stars these days weren't popular in school. look where it got them  ! lol

I'm not popular. as a matter of fact, I'm a geek. alot of "the popular kids" like me an stand up for mebut everybody else treats me like a loser. It would be nice to be popular for a change, but not one of the most popular.that would be dedicating your whole life to please others. I wanna be myself and still be semi-popular. |

Popularity is important to me. But that doesn't mean I want to be popular. If no one was popular we would all be loners. And if there were not cliques, sociedy would crumble. SO yeah it's important but in a small school (my grade only has 40 students) it really doesn't matter and if you go to a big school then it is like IMPOSSIBLE to be known by everyone. I mean think about it, if you have 1000 kids in the ninth grade, do you think only five people are going to be popular and know by the other thousand people. I bet not.Ok so now Im rambling.

it depends on the person.. to people that are harassed, they'd probably think that being popular would stop the harassing.. but to like.. just in the middle people, they don't really care.. but to me, i don't really care cause i just get along with everybody mostly
