firefox css help Options

My friend is complaining about switching scripts into standard css, because unfortunately it only worked in IE. I was wondering if someone could convert this script so it can work in Firefox:

And if someone could direct me to a page that has a simple tutorial on css would be good

One note: it should be color:#ffffff; without the quotes.

Just so you know, the glow doesn't work in Firefox. At least not as far as I know...
