Well, I have been using this Verizon DSL for a while now. About a year or so, and I have noticed that sometime the modem will just shut off then turn back on, I don't think its the line - the modem physically turns off and on. Its a Westell 327 W and I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or something of its kind. I called Verizon and they sent me another modem, but it does the same thing.... AHHH, They tell me its inside the house and it will cost $200 to look at it. DAMN, any ideas?
I have replaced all the filters. |

I have Verizon DSL and I'm also sometimes not very satisfied.
Today it's been very good, though. |

I have the same exact modem. Mine doesnt do that. Have you tried using a different modem first? When you say shuts off you mean the connection or something? Anyways, if you really dont want to pay 200 dollars, just cancel and get cable or something.
edit: I think it's your modem, because it's shutting off and i dont know what in the house besides the power outlet could be causing it if it's a brand new modem. |

Well I have tried multiple amounts of modems that verizon ships me. There all the same, the 327W. Cable costs at least 3 times as much as Verizon DSL and has very low download ay 1 meg and upload at 128/mb. Plus its Charter, so its not like its gunna me more reliable. They have a reputation of having horrible service here. I am gunna call Verizon and have them come look at it. My mom and dad said they would pay for it..... If they tell me what it was I will let you all know. |
