It's not our summer reading assignment, but I know we're going to have to read it during the school year. (Freshman-to-be.) Our summer reading assignment is Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. It's this 476-page book all about nothing. (At least, that's what I can conclude from the 82 pages I've already read.)

that book was kinda good. The ending was too stupid they should have proven tom robinson's innocence.

its a really good book. the ending kinda sucks though. You wait all the time for the kids to meet Boo, and they do, but only once.

that really was good. It sucked about Tom Robinson though. everyone knew mayella and bob ewell were lying, it was only because they were white that they won. so much prejudice and racism. mad.gif

Yea , we read it in freshman year. I think im going to go back and actually read the last chapters , because we were running out of time and we had a subsittute so she typed up summarys for the last few chapters and we read through those but i did read most of the actual book i loved it.

We're reading it right now. I expected something a little bit more difficult for 10th grade, but I'm loving it.

Haha, yeah, the ham costume was great. =p

To Kill A Mockingbird was an amazing book. It was our summer reading for the summer before freshman year, and I lovedddd it. It was a bit slow at first, but man. I love the incredible symbolism in it, and its brutal honesty.
