xanga forwarding, help please? Options

I spent a good 10 minutes looking for any significant old thread to help..

my problem: i recently switched to wordpress for blogging.. but my friends are so lazy, they don't even want to click a link in my xanga to get to the new blog.

is there a script or code to auto forward to the new blog? thanks in advance if you have any idea how to remedy the situation.


btw, wow this site has grown... i couldn't remember my old user-name when i was a mod, but i remember way back when it was just xanga layouts and scripts lol ;)

Err.. couldn't they just subscribe to you and get it in their e-mail + go to http://www.xanga.com/private/subs.aspx ?

not sure? wordpress is just not like xanga i dont think... it was just a script i installed on my new webserver;;

OH WAIT. I thought at first you said that you used wordpress on xanga. ;D Sorry 'bout that.

I'm not sure how you would though. Maybe if there was a way you could kinda make them subscribe to you, but as you can see, I am very newbie at wordpress right now. >_>;

Force them to click an image. That's pretty much the only way that still works, because xanga disabled so many damn scripts as of late. This might work though.

;P s'ok,, i didn't have a real use for all the webspace (won a lifetime account with needlemen), so i thought i'd blog there instead of xanga.. not much use if people are too lazy to go there. lol

i remember there used to be a script for people who constantly switched xanga's, it would auto-forward you to the new one.. =\ but i couldn't find it in the library of scripts you have here.

put this into the custom header on your xanga

nyah-nek0 beat me to it. i hadnt refreshed my page...so i didnt see it, but i had edited the code for you incase you didnt know what to do...so just copy the code above and it should work.

ahh i guess nobody read my post. id already tested it for you and it works. therefore you just need to copy the code in my post into the custom header.

it works.... sort of... it worked beautifully when i go to my xanga... but if i click through from a friends subscription page.. it goes to some weirdo's xanga.. o_o

it opened up to ur wordpress blog. but when i pressed the back button, i went to someone elses xanga. its redirecting fine though.
