Okay, I was thinking maybe there should be a pinned topic in Feedback where people could post topics that should be closed and haven't been closed yet.

Why? Because I feel like I'm wasting my time actually searching for similar topics and posting them on ones that should be closed. On a lot of occasions, I'll post it there and it won't ever be closed. Why waste my time trying to tidy up cB when I really have no power? So... everyone on cB, mod or not can contribute by posting up threads that should be closed on this one topic. That way people won't feel like they're wasting their time searching.

To prove my point, here's a list of topics waiting to be closed:

http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...opic=55414&st=0
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...opic=67131&st=0
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...opic=73585&st=0
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...opic=18040&st=0
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...topic=40668&hl=
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...topic=8477&st=0
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...opic=26390&st=0
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...9&hl=first+kiss
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...opic=71569&st=0
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...topic=65905&hl=
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...topic=65840&hl=
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...opic=33604&st=0

Also... when mods have nothing better to do, they can just check and see if there are any topics needing to be closed and they can just go close them. There's nothing to lose...

And since when was that topic a worthless topic and what harm was it doing to CB? It's simple logic. If something is disrupting cB, you close it. What harm was that topic doing? None. And it does have as much entertainment as a lot of other topics out there like the ones Yula and Jason make that don't get closed.

[james] nicki closes jason and yula's topics almost on insticnt, so you really cant fault her for that

your topic was gerating spam and pointless one line responses, as well as being ludicrously image heavy. now STOP WHINING

This is the sort of time when an apostrophe (or at least capitalization) is almost a necessity.

ohmygod, do you know how lame that was? Also, I am pretty sure youuu is not a word in the english language. Secondly, get off of Nicki's back. She did the right thing and you are just being a bitch. She is the "spokesperson" because she is a MOD. Jusun hired her to keep this place in line.

Roar.

English language my ass. how about you stop analyzing every little thing that someone says, like "OMG SHE USED YOUUU INSTEAD OF YOU!!!!" It's really irritating and it doesn't make you look any smarter.

Uhhh..ok. Thanks, a-hole. rolleyes.gif

oh, yeah. i forgot to say that i think that the IDEA of having this is good, but it's practically impossible to make it happen. People would post the same topics that need to be closed over and over again. This would create spam and confusion.

My first reply wasn't focused on your spelling. It was focused on how you were stupid for bitching at Nicki. She is only doing her job, lay off.

Kthanks

If she is supposedly doing her job, then how come on the "omfg" topic, she closes it and says "shut up now". To me, that isn't a valid reason to close a topic. She could've put "This topic is closed because ______."

Your topic was pointless and all the replies were just the same and full of spam. I don't see how your topic contributed anything, all it did was help lower my IQ.

edit Thanks Autumn.

Maybe you people just need to loosen up once in a while. Not everything has to have a valid reason to stay open. It isn't going to harm anyone because a few people are increasing their post count by 1 or 2 posts. ermm.gif

I think that if you have a big problem with a thread being closed, it's more appropriate to PM a moderator or an administrator, rather than discussing it at great length.

It's not a matter of the topic being closed but how the staff members are abusing their powers. And that's a bigger problem.

^If you are referring to this case specifically, I'd disagree. Nicki was not "abusing" her power as a mod.

I'd have to agree with crazyjew. I think one case does not automatically equal "abusing powers". If it happened a string of times, that might be different; but in this single case, PM'ing a mod might be a better option. Who knows? You might even get them to reopen it if you approach them in a respectable manner.

I would agree that if a mod is going to lock a thread, giving a reason rather than "just shut up" could be more acceptable, but that's a different argument.

i concur with rachel. i don't think that nicki was abusing any power. mellow.gif the topic was generating spam so it wouldn't it make sense to close it. _unsure.gif and i don't think that any of the moderators abuse their powers AT ALL. but if there is, please say who now so that we can it straightened out ASAP.

I think this is the most reasonable response I've read in this whole thread. 'Doesn't really matter to me this one time, but if it happens again, I'm obviously going to be upset. And Frankie, I'm going to complain to you. stubborn.gif

Wow. Ok.

1. Let's stop with the petty insults and comebacks. Seriously, how old are we all?
2. Katt, if Nicki closed your topic, oh well. That's not abusing her powers, it's using her judgement. Sure, she didn't give the best response when closing it, I'll give you that, but she has now explained why she closed it, so just roll with it. If it's really that big of a deal, complain to the people that hired her and they'll probably give you some good reasons about why she's a mod. Don't complain to her or Frankie or any of us; there's not exactly something we could do about it even if we agreed. You're known for being mature about things and having your topic closed really isn't that big of a deal.
