Well you see, here's the thing: when a kid has no one to talk to, he or she naturally looks on his/her cell and textmessages people cause they, you know, wanna look like they're cool- like, they're not talking to anybody else because they're too busy talking to other people on their cell. Yeah. Horrible pronoun grammer there, but it's okay.

I like texting people. Just quick things like "Hey Call me later" or like.. "We still on for tonight?" And it makes my day when my (boy)friend texts and says "I miss you" or "Ilu."

QUOTE(HoodieObsessed @ Aug 6 2005, 1:40 PM)
I'm nto sure about text messeging...but I hardly EVER phone anyone. Unless I want to talk to them right away.

I always send email/hope they're on msn. I hate phones. I loath phones. Phones are evil. evvvvviiiiiiiil.

but...text messeging is stupid, doesn't it cost you like 50cents everytime you send a test messege on your phone?  ermm.gif  That's acutally pretty expensive if you get alot of them
*

I used to think that...but that thought quickly vanished when I got a cell phone, and when I talked to a lot of people. =)

Back in Philippines .. texting is cheaper .. Here, people are lazy. I'm used to both of them.

I agree, having long conversations using text messaging can get REALLY annoying, it can strain your eyes, but when you have a short simple sentence that is really important then it wouldnt be that bad. But I really dont like text messaging period. I'd rather chat online or just talk on the phone.

Yeah sometimes it is weird...when they are pretty capable of dialing a number...but they spend a whole lot more time trying to type out something. I like to text at school and stuff...but outside, a call will do.

i AGREE. what's the point?? it's not even a cell phone if that's all you use it for. just a mini computer. haha. and it's more expensive then just calling them. but yeah, at times it is convienent.

It's not really annoying because some people don't really feel like talking and people that just had surgery getting wisdom teeth can't talk to text messaging is really convenient. I just hate when people text me when I'm on the phone with them or when they're three feet away from me. Unless we're mad at each other then it depends. I like text messaging. Just don't text back or get it turned off.

Yea..I find it quite annoying also. I'm not going to sit here wasting ten cents a message on a pointless convo.

Just call. I have free mobile to mobile. thumbsup.gif

I like it. For simple things it's really good, like 'Can you hang out tonight?" or "What time do you get off work?". Things like that I use it for, never pointless things like "How Are You". Haha, sometimes I text during class though, I just started that at the end of last year when I was so bored with school. I think I'll be doing that a lot more.. hehe.

i guess its people who wants to have someone to talk to but not a 'close conversation' who does texting... from my experience
my frd texts all the time.. with girls that is
so perhaps they dont want to be seen talking on the phone to them or else ppl would say they're dating
thats why they text (i think)

i like msn/aol/icq more =)

I hate texting on my phone. I changed the settings so now nobody can text me. Hahaha. I mean...it destroys the purpose of the cell phone. If you want to text me, text me on your friggin computer. See, phones are used to call people.

i think calling costs more than text messaging. especially when it`s not free hours or something like that. i`d just tell people to stop texting me.
