QUOTE([f]eleeza @ Aug 7 2005, 11:32 PM)
These are 100% true.
Michel de Nostredame (Nostradamus) predicted the following events.

1. French Revolution

2. The atom bomb.

3. Rise of Adolf Hitler

4. September 11th

5. Election of President Bush
*

Wrong, he didn't predict 9/11 OR the election...the email was a hoax, the email said his prediction was:

> "In the year of the new century and nine months,
> From the sky will come a great King of Terror...
> The sky will burn at forty-five degrees.
> Fire approaches the great new city..."
> "In the city of york there will be a great collapse,
> 2 twin brothers torn apart by chaos
> while the fortress falls the great leader will succumb
> third big war will begin when the big city is burning"

This was a hoax put together with many of his other predictions...do you seriously think this man can be THAT specific? THIS is the actual prediction that is most relavent to 9/11, but is VERY vague.

Two bodies, one head, fields divided in two,
And then to reply to four unheard ones:
Little ones for great ones, clear evel for them,
Lightning at the tower of Aiguesmortes, worse for "Eussouis"

That isn't even close...and I don't believe the others were predicted either. There have been many codes found, no one knows if they are true or not...and you say 'the atom bomb'...you have to be more specific, because other countries created a-bombs before ourselves.

Ok I didn't bother to read any one elses post besides the maker. Nostradamus did not predict the 2012 thing, the Mayan did. Anybody can make a prediction, doesn't mean it's exactly true. I predict this board will be shut down in the next 9 years, omg I'm a Prophet. And the the Mayan calander thing, pfft are you going to believe something that didn't even know about the rest of the world lol. The world is going to end like this.....

In its 4.5 billion years, Earth has evolved from its hot, violent birth to the celebrated watery blue planet that stands out in pictures from space. But in a new book, two noted University of Washington astrobiologists say the planet already has begun the long process of devolving into a burned-out cinder, eventually to be swallowed by the sun.

By their reckoning, Earth's "day in the sun" has reached 4:30 a.m., corresponding to its 4.5 billion-year age. By 5 a.m., the 1 billion-year reign of animals and plants will come to an end. At 8 a.m. the oceans will vaporize. At noon – after 12 billion years – the ever-expanding sun, transformed into a red giant, will engulf the planet, melting away any evidence it ever existed and sending molecules and atoms that once were Earth floating off into space.

Right, the end of the Mayan calander suggesets that at winter solstice, the sun will be in the rift created by dust clouds, making it "not visable"...dunno if this is what you are talking about

Well... in my opinion, you shouldn't worry about that right now. Think about the present. Don't look too far into the future and don't look too far back into the past .. why? You'll get nothing out of it. Plus, you should be living life to the fullest.

When I lived in Sedona, AZ, (it's a beautiful red rock metaphysical Disneyland in northern part of the state) there were a lot of people who viewed 2012 as an ascension for some people. I guess they see it in a way of a Christian, or any other person who believes in heaven/hell. You get to evolve into a "higher plane of existence" for living under some guideline... huh.gif If you don't, the end of the world will consume you.

(I'm sorry that I don't remember more specifics.)

Anyway, a lot of the local psychics made some serious $ scamming people by telling them if they were going to ascend or not. Most people weren't so they needed a few more appointments to make sure they were on the right path so the Nostradamus prophecies wouldn't effect them.

I think this has a lot of the same overtones that Benny Hinn uses. If you believe all this fatalistic stuff, you'll need a guide to save you from damnation. The Puritains read Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God and got "duped" in the same manner. It's unfortunate that people don't take the time to validate this kind of information. There would be a lot less hysteria over claims that cannot be substantiated.

Nostradamus also predicted WWIII would start in 1998 but that didnt happen now did it? he predicted that there wuold be another earthquake equivilent the the Kobe one around the year 2000 but that didnt happen either did it?

Nostradamus predicted all his things in quatrains (4 line rhyming poems) they werte written in french meaning that they were translated into english so that the majority could understand them. translating has not always been accurate so there are probably misconceptions in the translated works wich make a great impact on wat we understand now. Nostradamus also used history to predict the future, by finding patters and linking them together he was able to basiclly guess what would happen. this is probably how he predicted teh french revolution, by following the patterns of previous civilizations that were going through the same as what france was going through at the time.

dont wanna go into all his predictions but you get the basic idea

two brothers falling due to a bird could have meant anything.

2012 is only 7 years away, what can possibly happen in a span of 7 years that will doom all mankind?

*

Anything could happen 7 years from now, you never know, the sun could blow up and we would all freeze to death, a comet the size of half the earth could hit us and we would all be destroyed, the earth could go out of the sun's orbit and wonder off into cold space, the earth could blow up itself, you never know what could happen

omfg. no. nostradamus didn't "predict" ANYTHING. when 9/11 happened, people looked back to what Nostradamus said, twisted his words aroudn to make it seem like it was "predicted", but "two brothers and a bird" wtf. that could mean anything. it's bs.
