going back to the original  "americans are stupid." i did not mean this literally. i meant more that americans are weird, and often seem to take up rather insignificant arguments, as i have never heard this issue discussed on such a major scale  in other places (such as britain).

... when did Rockislife talked about Americans? If you were refering to Rockislife about the "intelligent American" bit, aren't you talking to the wrong person since I was the one quoting you on that?

I don't feel that it's neccessary, but you are replying so I'd thought I'd get some closure from this since you're obliging me with responses anyway. You are allowed to dislike Americans, but I'm also allowed to dislike those who dislike Americans for reasons I don't think make sense (stereotypes and such). That's fair, right?

I don't mean to gainsay you on this matter, but the reason I quoted you was because this IS NOT the first time you express your dislike. And because this isn't the first time, saying that you didn't mean such a blatant abasement 'literally' after all just doesn't add up. Sorry.
