Rage Against The Machine

Rage Against the Machine is a great band and an excellent choice to listen to, but I don't think they're really "punk"; they're more rap/rock with a focus on political issues.

I listen to them And thier Song LYRICS are punk but the way they deiliver them they dont sound it. So in a sense they are punk. (thier political just like Anti-Flag)

Politics aren't exclusive only to punk rock, though. Bob Marley's music had a political bent, and he's certainly not a punk artist.

Also Sex pistols arent a joke. Also they werent manufactured they quit EMI. Without them you wouldnt have alot of the punk bands today.(And you had suggested Death For Cutie as punk. when you know thier indie idiot)
