well sunscreen .. is meant for blocking sun
suntan lotion is meant for tanning so i dont think it would block the sun very well. go get both, or while at the store read the labels, it should tell you there. |

Well, my friend used like 50 SPF suntan lotion & she still got a tan.
So I dunno, maybe it depends on the brand? |

hmm I use sunscreen daily because I dont want to get skin cancer whereas I think that sunTAN lotion is just for one day in the week for ex when at the beach/ or any outdoor activity where your in direct contact with the sun.

sun tan lotion i think is the kind that attracts the sun, helps you get tanner faster like what oils do. probably a lower SPF, like under 15. sunscreen comes in higher SPF's.. usually 15, 30, 45.. and higher. that's more so you don't get sunburn.
i think.. lol |

sunscreen/sunblock doesn't stop you from getting a tan - you'll just get less of a tan
suntan usually doesn't have as much spf, so it puts you in danger of getting sunburn or skin cancer. but you get really tanned. if you wanna buy some suntan lotion, make sure its at least spf 30 or something.... |

the sunscreen blocks the sun but it still does give a tan, since the UV rays are strong, and suntan also blocks it and tans you, that's why its sun"tan". even though you use either/or, you will still get a tan
