for some reason my site only works in internet explorer. i tried looking at it in firefox and its all messed up. other people tried looking at in different browsers but it comes up as a messed up page. how can i get my site to work in other browsers?

.... Always, always go from Mozilla to Firefox. That way, you can make sure the layout will work in Mozilla.
Then, you optimize the layout for IE. Why? Because IE is screwy sometimes and going from strict to loose is always better than loose to strict, isn't it? |

Uh, no. If you code from Mozilla and then switch to Firefox, your layout will have very few problems. If you also code to the web standards, it will look great in every browser.

They will be the opposite. Keep it looking good in IE, not everyone has Firefox.
