So, I've been hearing a lot of things lately on how harry potter is a spin off of lord of the rings, how which one is better than the other....blah blah blah. I just wanna know what other's opinions are on this topic. I'll try and not triple post on this one.

I hate to say it, but LOTR bores me. I haven't stayed awake for any of the movies. The only thing I like about them are Orlando Bloom.
I'm a Harry Potter fan, meself.  Even though they cut out a LOT of stuff from the books in the movies.

I'm still trying to figure out how Harry Potter is called a rip off of LOTR..... Both are good, but I'm not a big fan of the LOTR books, only the movies. Plus, I've been a HP fan for a very very very long time. |

LOTR was made for an older audience and HP for a younger one.
So obviously, there's more in LOTR. |
