whenever i'm at someone's house, i say BATHROOM.
whenever i'm at some other place like a restaurant or a store, i say RESTROOM.

i say bathroom. you know how in restaurants&airports and stuff; they call it a 'restroom'? in china; they call it a 'toilet'. so on signs it says 'toilets ->'

I usually say the shitter to my friends...lol. I can't say that to my parents, so then I just use bathroom, or "I gotta go poooootttttttyyyyyyyyy!!!!" laugh.gif

I used to live in PA, and we all called it the "lav" at school. I don't think they say that in OK (where I live now), but then I haven't been to public school since then. Otherwise, it's a bathroom at home and a restroom in a restaurant or something.

Oh. And a W.C. in German class. For water closet of course. Prounounced *veh-tseh* LOL.

heheh. i call it bathroom. my half cousins in canada called it a washroom and i was like "do you mean BATHroom?" and they said "no, the WASHroom" lol

restroom is without the shower area

wierd. thats what ii always thought. those two are different meaning.

It's not a state thing.. I've lived in PA my whole life and never heard someone seriously use the term lavatory..

Anyways, I say bathroom unless I'm at a restaurant or something and I'll ask where is the restroom.

I used to say bathroom on everything.


But now, I say bathroom when I'm at home. And restroom in public. I never said the word lavatory before.
