I recently submitted this xanga layout to cB, and it was rejected (pretty quickly, I might add... LOL). No, I'm not sore or anything, I'm just looking to improve it.
Paradise | click here My thoughts? + Would submitting in "minimal" instead of "nature" make any difference? I personally like the minimalistic look, so I'm not sure when it is and when it isn't... if that makes sense. + Custom modules instead of default? + NO modules and make the dots under the word "paradise" as navigation? (something a friend suggested) + ORRR just let dead dogs lie, this layout sucks. Your thoughts? |

the layout is nice, why would they not accept it? maybe you should submit it as minimal. and it's fine the way it is, even when its defaulted

Definitely because it's default and the picture quality isn't all that great either.
But then again, you have to keep in mind that each staffer has their own design preferences, so what one thinks is nice, the other may think atrocious (not that your layout is atrocious). |

I've submitted a layout with the defaults in it, and it got accepted, but the image was animated

It's becaused CB is getting retarded, they pick good skins early in the time that they review them, and then after finding the limited number of skins they're allowed to have they reject all the rest. Its bogus. I <3 the skin though!!! =)

No, just kidding. Personally I like it a lot. Hm... Y'know, the image mapping would be a good idea... But retain the modules. (Some browsers don't support image mapping.) I think choosing a diffrent color for the font would be better too... I'm not exactly loving the orange color. It doesn't seem to fit to me... A more... Redish-orange-y color would work better. -shrug- |
