in picture captions i usually name the people in order from left to right, whether it's grammatical or not. but i think it would be "My friend and I."

when you're trying to decide if you should use I or me in the sentence remove the other person.
"my friend and I went to the picnic" if you remove "my friend and" it's still correct "my friend and me went to the picnic" when you remove "my friend and" it sounds stupid would you really say "me went to the picnic"? too bad i couldn't use that as my reason on my grammar tests, hah |

well since its picture captions, if there was a picture of just you, you would say "me", not "i" so therefore you say my friend and "me". or me and my friend, depending which side of the pic you're on.

My friend and I. That's not how I usually say it though. Most of the time I will say me and my friend you feel in this blank. Hope this helps you out.

It's "my friend and I".
A good trick to know if it's "I" or "me" is to cancel out whatever's before I/me and say the sentence and see if it makes sense. For example..."My friend and I/me went to the park". Take out "my friend". "I went to the park." "Me went to the park." Obviously it's I. So it should be "My friend and I went to the park." But...the bastard that the English language is, there are always exceptions, so be careful. If you have any further doubts, consult your English teacher =] |

if it was a caption for a picture, it would My friend and me at the park.. the reason why it is MY FRIEND AND ME is because if you took out the MY FRIEND AND part, than the only word that would make sense woujld be ME.

I at the zoo Well most people so far think it's Me, and not I... |

haha yes, you were included in the "most people" section. okay so i've come to the conclusion that
1. it's me, not i 2. a lot of people at cB don't read carefully. perhaps i'll try again at clique. |

"Me and my friend" is wrong.
"My friend and me" is wrong. It depends on where you and your friend falls in a sentence actually, but I realize this isn't what the topic is about... closed. |
