that information is based on people who donate blood, which is a skewed population. type A blood is named so because it's the most common. |

apparently, im O+ and, o types is the universal kind so i can donate it to anyone. |

Same here, I'm O+.
But isnt it the most uncommon type? Might be a problem whenever someone with it needs blood... even though we can give to anyone, we can only get O+.

Isn't AB the most uncommon type?.. It's supposed to be the universal receiver, but can only donate to a person with AB blood.

I'm a B-, I believe. I used to think I was an O, but my parents got my brother and I mixed up (or was that me?). Maggie, you don't need to know your blood type before you donate? Mmm, my new fact for the day, I guess. |
