um im sorry if this is the wrong place to put this, but does anyone know where you can upload animated icons (.ico files)? again i dont know where this is suppose to go.

it would be easier to save them as a .gif then upload it anywhere

Click, File » Save As » and change the file extension to .gif

No, you should download JASC Animation Shop. The trial version lets you save them as gif. The trial version is just the same as the bought version, I would know
