As for denial of service attacks, there are far easier ways to perform them than through searches; you have to be logged in to even perform a search, anyway, so a DoS'er would have to create an account, log in, and then perform any malicious actions. But if they take the time do that, there's plenty of other avenues they can use for causing damage. |
