fried ice cream

have you ever tried it?? its an ice-cream covered in dough and after you deep fry the dough you roll it in sugar..


i know weird right? but its true...i bet you all were wondering how do you fry ice cream? blink.gif

wow, i ate that back in the 90s... it was bread and ice cream then fried.

I ate Fried Red Bean ice cream in Virginia. BOYYYYm WAS IT DELICIOUS! :D I can still remember the taste. yummy yum yum!

i don't think i've tried it.. but i've tried ice cream with dough stuff on it.. i think it was mochi? but i dont know if its the same thing.

yeah thats what i was thinking at first. it was like japanese style icecream with mochi stuff on the outside.

I've tried it before and it was pretty good. I think they fry it in reeeeeeeeeeeally hot oil.

in order to fry something it has to be really hot anyways.
just the fact that the ice cream, is still cold.. is so friggen cool.

they are good, but one thing i dont like about it, is it's too sweet because of the sugar

fried ice-cream is nice, but I don't think it was just plain dough, it had a lil bit of cinnamon in it~ tongue.gif

I've heard of them and people say that they're good. I never tried them before. I don't know where you would get some.

But the dough is hot and the ice cream inside is still cold?

i've had it but not like that. they rolled the ice cream in like some kind of rice cereal kinda like corn flakes and then fried it and then covered it in sugar. it was so good! dribble.gif

i think first they put the dough around the ice cream and freeze it over the night, then when they are about to fry it they take it out of the freezer and deep fry it huh.gif that's how i saw how the people create it

i don't really know how to make it. try putting ice cream in a ball and wrap some kind of dough around it and freeze it?? i might have to try it too
