I need your help!!!! I'm already 14 years old and going to be 15 in less than 4 months and my mom still hasn't taken me bra shopping and i really need a bra. I mean "hello! i'm going to be in high school when school starts and my mom still hasn't taken me bra shopping!!" i hate it! my mom has bought me bras but she just guessess my bra size which is often too big. and the bras that DO fit are those stupid training bras that are soooooo thin and you can totally see my nipples. i hate it! i mean, like right now, i'm wearing three of those stupid bras AND an undershirt, just so that my nipples wouldn't be able to be seen through. and the thing is that the three of them together kinda press agaisn't my chest and leave awful red marks. Anyone have any suggestion on how to tell my mom I want to go bra shopping or should i just buy one online and don't tell her about it?? Help!! I'm desperate!! i'm about to go back to school and its so embarrasing when i'm changing during P.E.

umm...no offence, but you shouldn't even double post. And you've triple posted.

Why don't you just talk to her? And if she still doesn't take you shopping, try going to the mall with a friend or sister or something.

And welcome to cB.

^ Agree. Do you have an older sister or cousin? That could work too.
Or just nag your mom till your mouth bleeds. (:

buy one yourself, or if you have a b-day or something coming up, ask one of your close friends to get you one...

You could ask your mom to take you to the mall to get school outfits and then say "let's go int the bra store"(or whatever) and start walking towards it and don't stop.

ok ok, hold up. Buying one online? You're 15...with that credit card that you have? And then what happens if/when you get it? hide it and wear it in secret? If you're old/mature enough to need a proper bra, you're old enough to be able to sit down and talk to your mom honestly. After dinner, or something when both of you have a couple minutes to talk, just be like "Mom, I start school in a month and I think it's time I got a real bra. Do you think we could go shopping this weekend?" And then when you guys do get a chance to go shopping, go to a store like la senza, or victoria secret where they specialize in selling bras so you can have someone help you pick out one that will fit you properly.

Being mature physically means that you need to start being mature mentally. Show your mom that you're mature and responsible by talking to her and being straightforward. Sneaking around and buying one without telling her will make things harder in the future, and if you talk to her about stuff like this now, it'll help open up your relationship, and show her that you can trust her, and talk to her.

P.S. Welcome to CB! tongue.gif

Buying a bra online is kind of a difficult thing to do because usually when you go bra shopping you have to try on 3-4 or more to find one that fits right and feels good. If you're too nervous to talk to your mom about going bra shopping have a couple of your good friends go to the mall with you the next time and pick some out...without your mom. When she sees you wearing them just tell her "Yeah, i decided it was time i needed to get a bra so i just picked a couple out." Then ask her if you can get a couple more that weekend or something. Just an idea...it may ease you into talking to your mom about a bra if she sees you have some already. :-)
