Which is why she said it was approximately 3.14 because it rounds to 3.14. If you were to draw out the number, it'd be infinite.

Pi is approximately 22/7. Today's date is 22/7 (if using the international style, where the day number comes first--which is also known as the big-endian dating style, incidentally).

There are a few pieces of software that attempt to calculate the value of pi through distributed computer (similar to how SETI@home works).

I had recently heard that a japanese man had memorized the first like 80,000 digits of Pi. Facinating. Ill post a topic about it if I find the article. Then again, it might've been fake.

Poor guy. I had to memorize like the first 15 and even then..i just started making them up. I failed that test.
