It's the thought that counts and there was a LOT of thought and LABOR that was put into making a gift. I think it's better than any toy you could buy at the store. That's so sweet.

oh and ishowernaked, the point of making all those stars, is to show friendship, and taking the time to make it..and yes u can buy a diamond, but it would be different because u didn't make it..making stuff and buying stuff is really different.. |

im not saying its stupid lol but you can show friendship by taking your time out and getting someone to design a necklace, get it made and then spending your time working to get the money to pay it off.

yes you can and some people prefer to do the stars while others prefer to work for a necklace. plus its not just the fact that its like origami, if you made your girlfriend or something a scrap book of all the pictures and stuff and you made it really special to her then it's like the same concept. you could work to buy a necklace and all or make a scrap book.

You can buy the tube with the paper to make the stars. You don't need specialized paper, but the paper it has is like precut so tehy are all the same size and pretty =). There's a small one and a big one...god I spent too much time in Chinatown...
