get a friend to buy them for you... my mom used to be like that... i just use them anyways.
make her read an article on tampons for heaven's sakes....lol. |

I don't generally make a point to insult people, but your mother sounds extremely ignorant. If you have to, research tampons and periods, and explain to her how it works, because I garauntee simply eating cold things is not going to get you what you want.

Talk with your Mom that you have to swim. I mean, you can''t wear a pad, and tampons are just for swimming and sports.

Maybe you should talk to your mom about it and tell her what you feel. Or do what I do. If you have a really good friend and her mom is nice and you always talk to her bout everything, maybe ask her to buy them for you. you can also ask another female member of your family to buy them for you.-Nora-

I know, I used to swim a lot, and whne my period came...I just swam with it, because I was scared of using a tampon. Soooo after a few months, my mom made me quit. :/ I say you beg her. There wouldn't really be any other choice...

ask your friends, they might have em and tell em to bring them for you.
tampons are quite risky though, 'cause some people have died from them... but i think that's rare. is swimming even necessary? is it for summer or school? if it affects your grades, then just talk to your mom about it, and if she doesnt agree, maybe a note could help. |
