Yes, I know we just had one. But these are fun =]
And they actually motivate me to do vexels, because otherwise, I would be way too lazy to complete one.

Rules:
1. No jocking, stealing, fake vectors, etc. You guys know what I mean. It must be your own vector, and it must be real.
2. Choose one image to vector/vexel.
3. Your final product needs to be resized (obviously, because these images are huge). Note that your vector/vexel subject should take up most of the space in your final product. Use your judgment on resizing. You should be able to see details, but you should be able to see everything without scrolling horizontally.
4. You can get creative with these, although I prefer realism, but if the creative part is done well, then we'll see =] Just do whatever you're best at.
5. I think the pieces will be judged first by a poll, and then by me. Yep. 50/50 weight given to each part of the decision making.
6. The contest will end on Saturday, August 6th at 12 am EST. Get them all in by Friday night, basically.
CONTEST EXTENDED TO FRIDAY, AUGUST 12 AT 1 AM. If you stay up from Thursday to Friday and turn it in, that's good. Haha.
7. Email the links to your entries to avalon.illwed@gmail.com, or PM the links to your entries to me. PLEASE make sure your links work.

Click to enlarge each one. (There are two of Lindsay and Rachel because I just had more pictures of them...and they were really big pictures.) It's really hard to find good quality, non-celebrity pictures.

















Prize:
Well, I don't have any subdomains to offer because I don't have a domain, but I can make you a piece of artwork! You can either choose any of my existing pieces (blends/colorizations/manipulations/abstract art/or the vexel I'll make for this contest for fun), or when I make a new piece, I'll show it to you and you can see if you like it. OR you can make a request, but usually those turn out worse. To see existing pieces, go here OR here, and then click 'digital portfolio'.

yeah...I totally ran out of time for the last vector contest because I had to work so much. SIX DAYS IN A ROW. _dry.gif But I would like to try this one :D

I'll try..i've conquered the pen tool..it's just the colors i gotta learn to get right..

Katie Holmes looks AWFUL thumbbed. *sigh* Although I despise Hillary Duff with every ounce of blood that runs through my veins, she looks to be the easiest for me. I'm so cheap.

ok im in _smile.gif and woww...i just loovee the stuff in ur portfolio!! i love the sparkles and texture and the colors are soo nice and just convey the mood so perfectly xD but just out of curiosity...whats ur last name? b/c you have the same initials as me and the brush you used of your initials look exactly like the ones i have too..like...the handwritings similar...and itd be freaky if we have the exact same full name..i doubt it..but just curious lol

why did u have to choose a bunch of mediocre teenage white chicks? You could have thrown some beyonce, or some catharine zeta-jones in there for me. I cant choose one cuz none of them are pretty enough for me to stare at for 3 days. sad.gif

Just a small question...hopefully this isn't a bother.
I'm sorta new to all this digital art stuff...so I was wondering, what exactly is vectoring? And how is it done?
