Yes..I'm very confused about this thing. The directions said to open up this file and fill in the database connection information. Yeah, if someone could help me, that would be great. I'm terrible about these things. I just need the stuff explained in simpler terms, basically. Thanks.

Under MySQL Settings, change wordpress, username, and password to the database name, user, and password of your database.

Okay, so I'm hosted at ill-wed.com. For name of my DB, do I just put "ill-wed.com"? And then for user, I'd put my subdomain name, right? What about DB Host? What's that?

No; your webhost should tell you your database name, username, and password.

Okay so I asked my host to help me fill in the stuff, and I tried it, and there was an error...I think it has something to do with me installing WordPress previously, but I didn't...
 Anyone else have any ideas?

it means you already installed wordpress and you are ready to use it. if you still get errors then i suggest you clear out your mysql database and reinstall it.

that's weird to me. make sure your host gave you your OWN database, and you arent somehow sharing one with her.
or if you want, just change the table prefix in your config file. |
