i was just wondering.. is anyone here in the navy?
if so, did you get a vacation after boot camp? or did you go straight to schooling?

i guess all branches of military, if they all work the same way? hehe, cuz my friend just left for bootcamp for the navy and i miss her a loooooot. and i was just wondering if she was goin to be back after her bootcamp, or if she's gonna go straight to schooling.

Usually you go straight from boot camp to your advanced training, although most recruits do get a short leave somewhere in that timeframe.

You get about 2 to 3 weeks out of boot camp. Which that will seem like nothing after boot camp. I shall ask one of my parentsn, my dad was in the Navy and my mom was In the Marines.... Military familys suck.....

I'm in navy jrotc if that counts.
I plan to attend the united states naval academy and become commisioned.

thanks to those who answered (especially the 2nd part of my question hehe) so im guessing that there is some kind of "vacation" in between bootcamp and schooling.

does anyone know how long bootcamp is?

well my friend's in cadets for canada. and she goes to camp training too. last year she went for 8 weeks =(

Nope, I'm not a navy. But I know few people who are in navy. Like in Korean guys that I know. They go to my church too!
