Unfortunately, I think I'm pretty shallow when it comes to guys.

I rely to heavily on first appearances as my first impressions of what a person seems like. I always say that I like guys because of their personalities, and I suppose I do to a point. Only after I've known them for a while to appearances start to mean less.

id never go out with someone just because of the way they look.. thats not right.. i like ppl for there personality, and then i see a certian "hottness" that some ppl may never see... like for 1 the guy i like is a "loner" never had a gf.. u kno a loner, and ppl think im a little strange for liking him and they say like "omg he likes you!" like its a bad thing.. when really i couldnt care less about socail standing and all that they fear.

I don't think I'm shallow....I mean I think one of the best things you can do for someone is to put yourself in their shoes for a while and walk around. You know...Learn from the perspective of other people. People ask me why I like to go out with guys who are ugly and I look at them and say "What?" I just *shrug* don't notice those things.

I mean my boyfriend isn't ugly (whatever i just dug myself into a hole), but I wouldn't CARE even if he was---I've tried so hard (well not tried--but made myself be strict about this) to NOT see people in their physical form. I tell myself when i meet someone new to only judge them by their personality and hopefully I can respect them with the highest caliber possible. I normally find that there are a lot of people in the world who kind of think differently though. It's weird...you may not think its true but...I can no longer see people for how "attractive they are" because I tell myself every time i meet someone NOT to do it. Repetition becomes habit. YES there are beautiful people in the world- but beautiful people are more like art to me. I have said that people are "pretty/cute/attractive" but I mean it different. And I do wish sometimes I was prettier, but there is a different between who is "hot" or what's "cool/pretty" and who is artistically beautiful because they were born that way.

*side note* Plastic surgery should never have been invented except for people who REALLY need it. I think if you get plastic surgery and you're like in your twenties and look FINE...then why did you get it??? ><

EVERYONE is shallow , EVERYONE is super-ficial , people think what looks good on them and how they act ....why do you see little girls wearing little shorts and tube tops ....why do we see people eating at mcdonalds everyday ...instead of making a homemade sandwiches for lunch.... WHY ARE everyone Soo self-concious about there well-being and there identity that they would have to dress and look sophisticated impress people ...even when you have no-one to impress (ex. School) .....why do wee see people rolling the streets with there 24 inch rims on there 1991 honda civic where they could worry about spending money on a new engine ( ladies ,i know guys like that ) .
