when I try to go to sleep every night, I just can't sleep. it's mostly because my legs. they always have cramps in them. even if I take these pills they kinda help, but they still hurt really bad. and, my eyes just can't close. mostly because of sugar or caffenine. yesterday, I went to see a movie and only drank a dr.pepper. one caffenine drink, and my eyes won't shut stubborn.gif. yesterday, I slept good because I took that pill, but it rarely helps (like I said..)

any sleeping tips? I really need them.

Clear your mind and don't think about not being able to sleep.
Or, I guess you could do something that makes you tired. For some people, it's reading. For some others, it's watching TV.

So basically, just clear your mind and don't think about the fact that it takes you a long time to sleep.

I can't say that any of this has worked for me, but I know it's worked for some of my friends and all.
I have a lot of sleeping problems as well. _dry.gif

run around your block until your about ready to collpase, go home and fall into an exhaused sleep. well not as much but try getting rellay tired before bed.

i think you can do that.
or else just try to relax, listen to music. dont have caffeine after like 5 or 6.

i have the EXACT same problem as you. i get the worst insomnia.

but i figured what helps. if i want a good sleep for one night, i either, get like almost no sleep to the point where i'll just collapse and fall asleep the other night..

or run my ass off. if you exercise a lot (ddr, swimming, etc) you'll sleep more comfortably.

and as for what despise said, yeah, the more you think about "not being able to sleep" the more you WONT be able to sleep!

Hmm well don't drink a caffinated drink after like ermm 5:00pm I guess. Also I heard drinking milk before you go to sleep helps you fall asleep. Yea clearing your head really works, it's just so hard to do. Goodluck =]

Oh i've had this problem. I kept drinking caffienee and i became WIRED. Dont drink any caffienee, calm yourself and your head down, and just shut your eyes.
That's what worked for me wink.gif

I never had this problem, but my library told me that if you read before you sleep it calms your body down. Don't do vigerous activity because you're body is just getting pumped up and it'll take even longer to sleep. Try to cut back waay on the caffine or go see a doctor? ermm.gif

Well if you want the aromatherapy try lavender

There is a condition called "Restless leg syndrome." It's fairly common and even more common in women. My grandmother had it, my mom has it, and I have it every now and then. It's a feeling like you can't get comfortable- every time you roll over and expect it to be better it's not so your continually trying to find a comfortable position. It's on rare occasions that I have it however my grandmother suffered horribly from it.

Perhaps you ought to look it up if your suffering from the same symptoms? Other advice is to stay off the caffeine, get exercise, and eat healthy. I don't believe that caffeine is the reason why you can't sleep. You would need to run out and buy starbucks every night which you probably don't do. A little caffeine in Dr. Pepper, etc., shouldn't be the reason your not sleeping.

If all else fails- see a doctor

I have sleeping problems too. I was in a bad car accident and my backs really messed up now. I go to the chiropractor once or twice a week but I feel horrible because the pain hasn't gotten any better and when I wake up it hurts to breath in because my ribs are bruised. Usually I'll watch a really boring movie or something and the tv makes me tired but... most of the time i can only get 2 full hours of sleep at night, i'd try the tv or a book or something but if anyone else has advice i think i need some too. After I came out of my 2nd surgery I had to stay home for 2 weeks in bed and usually I'd drink something warm and watch movies. Thats really the only think that helps for me. Just try to make yourself as comfortable as you can then distract yourself by reading, watching tv, writing, anything.
