mostly both. the comb for certain hairstyles and the brush to well, brush your hair.

usually i use nothing because my hair is typically short but right now it is REALLY long & puffy so i HAVE to use a comb...i have brushes. pinch.gif

a comb to part and slick down the hair and smooth it
a brush to straighten it and form the harstyle.

and a toothbrush to calm babyhairs and flyaways, and slick down the sideswpet look. my friends call it "mexican hair" its the first pic in my sig lol.

Both. If I happen to have a comb next to me, I use that. If I have a brush, I use that. My hair ends up getting messy both ways anyhoo
