I've been trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong; I've tried to make my own layout for most of today to no avail.
I don't have much CSS knowledge, so I've been looking at source codes for journals which I would like to emulate and trying to figure out what's what. The main thing I've been trying but failing at is placing a background image on my page. (yes, It's huge, I don't want to mess with tiles or the end of my image coming up on different screen resolutions/lots of entries or whatever might happen)

Long story short, I'm trying to have a layout like this one with these colors fit to this background

I've tried filling in things, but it doesn't seem to work, please please please HELP wacko.gif

*gets down on knees and begs*

1. You have to resize the width of your entries.
2. You shouldn't just copy/paste coding from other journals. You could end up copying something that will do you no good, since you said you have no idea about CSS.
3. I don' thave time at the moment, but I'll try to throw together some code sometime during the day.

Thank you n_n;

I figured it out (for the most part) on my own, anyway, by looking at other threads.
