the PS3 demo graphics weren't run on ps3 hardware. Sony deceived everyone. And a lot of you fell for it. But if anyone was paying attention to what happened when Sony released PS2, this would not had come at a surprise.

^ Doesn't change the fact that im still going with PS3 in the console war. Graphics have never been a concern for me, its all about gameplay from my perspective.

Besides this doesn't mean that the PS3 ins't capable of harnessing these kind of graphics.

EDIT// Everything is still in the early stages

it's a great attitude, but not the attitude that sony is currently exuding.

Yes, but his statement puts doubt into that. Coupled with the fact that Sony has done this in the past (they claimed the ps2 could render toy story in real time! in reality it couldn't), I highly suggest taking their "claims" with a big fat grain of salt.

so which games are you excited about? (i'm curious because I was initially considering buying a ps3)

You make very valid explanations about the PS3.
Well initially i was excited about that KILLZONE game but when I looked at the footage over a 100 times I realized theres no way in **** that could be in Real-Time. I realized cetain things just looked scripted rather than natural in the game.
I know I just said its all about gameplay but to build my hopes up like that is just not funny. sad.gif

Anyways the games Im really excited about are

1. Final Fantasy VII( if it gets remade)
2. Tekken 6
3. Gears of War
4. Devil May Cry 4

The only reason I want go with Nintendo Rev. or XBOX 360 is because of my love for the Final Fantasy series and RPGs themselves.
Trust me, I used to be a hardcore nintendo fan back in the SNES days until they lost their contract with square after FFVI i think it was. I would love to see another FF for the nintendo where it actually belongs but until then Im locked with PS systems. Crystal Chronicles and FF tactics advance wasn't a bad start for Nintendo.

EDIT// I still play FFVI and FFV on an emulator.

1) VII WONT be remade. S-E pres said it himself.
2) I never believed for a second that the stuff was in game graphics at all. Everything looked exactly like a cutscene, and then they could magically go through and look at everything in different angles. Blah. As I noted before, they used a PS2 controller for the demos. Hahaha.

3) Darn skippy Final Fantasy belongs on Nintendo consoles. Crystal Chronicles is a great game, and Tactics Advance great too. I cant wait for CC DS and the impending Revolution version!

PS3 to cost $494 to make, probably will sell for $399.

If this is true, Sony will lose almost $200 for every PS3 they make! And at $400, I'm definitely not going to be able to afford it.

Well, most of the consoles are probably going to have a price jump.'

I guarantee Nintendo will be the cheapest of all though. And Im so getting that.

Selling for that price sony will go belly up. No game system really does well above the adverage 299 price. Plus, this design is what all the magazines and websites are calling THE PS3. But Sony Has stated that the design of the system, and the horrid controller, could and might change without notice to the public.

i don't know. i hope they change the design a little bit. it's a little big...i thought the came out withthe slim ps2 so people can't mod it and play bootlegged games..why would they make this one big to start with..? i bet they're going to make a smaller ps3.5 in a few years...it's ALL business and money

anyways guess iw ill have to sell my ps.2slim now

I think the people are prepared for a 100 dollar price jump. Games have been going up, and as such, systems will follow. And I wholeheartedly believe that hoards of gamers will pay 400 bucks for a PS3, and even bigger hoards of parents will.

You know that's not the ps3 in action. It's not the actual PS3 hardware, because it hasn't even been completed. I'm not even sure if the graphics card is done.

Not to mention, those are only demos, not actual games.

Don't believe everything you see on the internet. Or rather, take everything you see with a grain of salt. Otherwise, you'll be disappointed, and Sony will be laughing all the way to the bank.
