i sat there in the room, empty and alone
my face expression cold, a frown set down in stone .
i thought i heard him whisper promises into my ear,
saying all the words i've always wanted to hear .
he weaved me tales of magic, of unspeakable rhyme,
and he told me that he'd love me, lifetime after time .
he sang of all his secrets, those mysterious and divine,
and then he reassured me that i will be just fine .
and then i heard his voice fade, i snatched up at the air,
i pleaded him to stay, but God seemed not to care .
one silent tear made a crevice, as it rolled down flawless stone,
and with that one voice gone, the emptiness had grown .
but stone proceeded to melt as light began to shine .
because i've just been kissed by the lovliest of angels, the angel i call mine .
