I don't see the reasoning behind summer flings, or flings of any sort for that matter. Might as just find a steady fwb. mellow.gif

Pathetic that you feel the need to brag about something as trivial and immature as this; I personally don't even believe it's something worth bragging about - flings are degrading, at least to me. Perhaps one day you'll realize it, when you find love. Perhaps.

Blunt yet true. Summer flings are useless. And it isn't "love".

it's fun to screw around with someone because you can brag about it? huh.gif ermm.gif stubborn.gif

both of my serious, longterm relationships started in the summer. me and my boyfriend's one year anniversary is coming up in less than a month happy.gif

i never had a "summer fling," i don't believe in f*cking around with another person's feelings, what goes around comes around.

Wow. Harsh.

I agree that it's stupid to brag about these things, but what's all this about "finding love" and "realizing that flings are degrading"? Whatever happened to just meeting someone and having fun for a night or two or three, without feeling the need to jump into a relationship? Life is all about having fun, and the short-term "fling" can aide in that objective.

Haha, Steph's got a point. Summer flings are called summer flings for a reason.

I guess.. But summer flings DO open up your heart. If you don't have any past experiences, prior to finding the one you love.. Then there's nothing to compare it to. But that's just me.

I meant she'd realize that summer flings aren't worth bragging about. The degrading bit was just my opinion, and I didn't mean that she'd learn that too; my post wasn't too clear, apologies.

That's why it's always best to get their digits. wink.gif

And it sounds as if you'd only get into a relationship so you can brag about it to everyone.

How weak.

I went to Disneyland with my choir in march this year (not exactly summer but w/e), and across from me and my roomates hotel room (like the building across from ours I mean, we had porches so we could look out) there were four cute guys living on the bottom floor. I agreed that they were cute and nice but I didn't go see them cause lets face it, I'm a complete chicken. Plus I don't have very much self confidence and I'm not really old enough for them anyway. Besides, they could be rapists tongue.gif my lame excuse.

anyway, the older girl (15. I was 14 at the time so yes, she was older) went with a few other girls to their room and we watched them from the porch talking to them happy.gif haha, it was halarius. We could hear them and everything. The guys were like "so how old are you girls?" and they just stood there for like a minute. they wre probably thinking like *should I tell them my real age, or older than I am? should I go first or is someone else going to say?*. lol, it was halarius. we were laughing our butts off, but we couldn't make too much noise or they'd hear us. finally they told them their ages. "15 (true)", "17 (true)", "16 (FALSE. shes' really 13. hahahaha, she looks really really old for her age tho, and acts it as well. I beleive she's even *cough* been there *cough* I don't like her much".

anyway, that was the extent of sumer romances for me. and it wasnt even mine, lol.
