i think i shaved once when i was 11 because my older brother always teased me about having hairy legs so one day i just took a razor and shaved it all off... but i didnt really start shaving til i was 13

whoa. ahah. I'm 16 and I don't shave at all. No wax or nothing. Unless your face is 2 inches from my leg, you can't see it. XD My mom won't let me shave either. I don't really care because shaving sounds like a hassle.

If you really feel like you have to, go for it. Most mothers don't care after you've already done it. =]

The first time I shaved I was very young- alone in a bathroom with my sisters' shaving gel and razor.......

It turned out pretty well, anyway, until my mom found out.

So I guess I started shaving then, but if you don't count that, then I started in 6th grade.

i think i shaved around 13/14, i mean my mom wouldnt let me but hey i needed to shave those armpits to wear shirts.. as for the legs, i just shave them when it is a necessity like parties or w/e skirt/short wearing day. i tihnk she knows but i dont think it bothers her since she understands

i started shaving last year..my mom kinda made me..she said it wasnt lady-like to prance around in skirts and shorts with hairy legs

I think I started when I was, like, 11. I don't see anything wrong with it - my mom didn't either, but, yeah, when you start, you shouldn't really stop doing it. I know this girl who shaved her legs before but then for some reason now, she stopped and always has this weird looking long stubble. So, if you do start, you pretty much have to keep it up, shaving every couple of days, depending on how fast the hair grows.

i started when i was thirteen or fourteen, but most of my friends were already shaving. but really...once you start shaving, you won't stop...so it's okay to start later...

i started at 11. me and my mom dont talk about all this stuff. basically we had to share a bathroom (my whole family) cuz my parents was getting re-done so her razor was there and yea...now my mom now knows i shave cuz she gave me a razor and this was about a month ago...i use her deodarant to which sucks...SHE DOES NOT REALIZE THESE THINGS!!!

umm lets see i was 11 when i started cuz stupid preppy girls made a little parody to that stupid "say my name" song.. u know... it went a little like this "shave your legs shave your legs, they're lookin kinda hairy.. lala" yeah stupid i kno... and.. um well i have alot of hair.. sometimes i have to get it thinned out.. and umm.. i even tried to shave my arms b4.. and that wasnt so nice.. heh heh

In fact, I used nair when I was 9, unintentionally.

i had the same problem as you. i was also 12 and wanted to desperately shave cause i needed too, badly.. but it wasn't my mum who said no but my dad. which really sucked. my friends would tell me to shave but i couldnt. until one night, my friend slept over & she brought her razor plus an extra one since i asked her too. i asked my dad if i could shave while my friend was there & he didnt have an option but to say yes. >:) so i wont.
