Firefox tweak?

I read somewhere where you can tweak firefox so that if your on a fast connection you can make the websites show up faster??? please help? I'm using Verizon DSL but sometimes I have to go back to Dial up and if I do the tweak will anything happen when i go back to dial up?

I've read about that, but I don't think it works with Verizon. If I can remember correctly, it only works with Comcast. Sorry =(

try this:

Type about:config in the address bar.

Change these settings:

network.http.max-connections 32
network.http.max-connections-per-server 16
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy 16
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server 16
network.http.pipelining true
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests 8
network.http.proxy.pipelining true

I have most of the above (^) settings on my firefox, and it's working great for me...they should work with any ISP, but a lot of the times you won't really notice the difference
