I had a lot of dandruff last year, does that count as dry scalp? I don't know, but I started using Pantene Pro-V (any kind will do) every day. Pantene's expensive, but it does wonders for my hair. Now I use Ganier Fructis long and strong because it's less expensive, and works almost as well as Pantene. With Garnier my hair stays practically knot-free, which is really handy. Everyone's hair is different, so just try around shampoos untli you find one that works for you. I would recommend Pantene first. And NEVER EVER EVER buy shampoo below $2. Those never ever ever work. Or, at least, for me they don't. So anyways, hope I could help!

i haven't used conditioner for like 4 mths now BUT even when i did i had dry scalp which is also dandruff lol. i use to use pantene but then i stopped and swtiched over to err herbal essence. i forgot the name a sec there. lol. i have garnier fructis and it doesn't help the dandruff/dry scalp. does pantene make your hair oily or make asian hair oily? lol the point of this post was so that i could find a shampoo worthy of buying. prices have gone up and my job doesn't exactly pay me enough to try every shampoo out there.

I used to have black hair and terrible dandruff, but i used Neutrogena(sp?) T-Gel, and all of the dandruff was gone after one wash! I use it regularly, so it never came back! biggrin.gif The doctor had prescribed it for me, so I think it'll work for everyone.

head and shoulders.. they have it for dry, normal, and oily hair but it really works well for dandruff/dry scalp. my dad uses it and every now and then my scalp gets dried out and i use it.. works really well because it has zinc somethin or other in it... idk lol.

tea tree oil. (it should be in the organic section). aside from the title, it doesnt actually make your hair oily. lol.

Maybe its just extra shampoo/conditioner that you're not washing out. I had that problem when I was a little younger.

head and shoulders is awesome, especially since it may not really be a dry scalp but some sort of fungal type thing (sounds scary, but it really isn't) like dandruff.... if head and shoulders doesn't reduce it in a couple weeks try rubbing olive oil into your hair and scalp, it does great for moisturizing, but use it sparingly

You know using shampoo and showering often is what causes dry scalp? Shower every other day or use a moisturizing shampoo + conditioner.

another tip.. dont use hot water,,, just warm water.. or cold water is the best for your hair.. its one cause.. and for the shampoo, try ones with aloe vera contents.

I get that dandruff crap alot. Iall I do to get rid of it is use head and shoulder and dont put he hair dryer close to your head if you do blowdry it. make sure your bruse isnt to "sharp" also this could lead to the dandruff showing up more.

Realli?!?!?!

Heads and Shoulders worked for me~ Its a good shampoo, I duno why it'd make it that worse......

Or else a shampoo/conditioner from THE BODY SHOP, I used to use it too~ It smells nice and it works~

Pretti much any shampoo/conditioner that has sumthin along the lines of "removes dandruff" will do.

tea tree, Bed Hed Products, Pantene, Garnier Fructis, Dove, head and Shoulders,Selson Blue, John Frieda, or just go to the salon. Period.

AVOID THESE AT ALL TIMES!!!!:
$1.05 Suave shampoos & conditioners
$1.75 Vo5 shampoos & conditioners
i used it and made my hair super dry
only use Vo5 if you went to the public pool or something like that..
trust me i used to have flakes too
i used Selson blue and head and shoulders and pantene
(hint* dont switch shampoos and conditioners often, for it makes your hair really dry and thin sad.gif )

LIISTEN TO THIS ADVICE!!!
