how to render a segway obsolete.

bam! a third wheel!

love the maddox.

Seriously though, I don't think segways are all that bad. If someone gave me one for free I'd use it. But there was so much hype coming out of the project, people kept saying it was going to be the killer app when it was just a scooter.

There's a guy in my town that has one. He rides it while walking his dog.

Personally, I don't see the point. If I'm not mistaken, they cost a few thousand dollars, and they seem unwieldy. Where do you put one when you go in a store, for instance?

Besides, for short trips, walking is better--you get some exercise.

Segways seem more like a novelty for the rich than anything useful.

they're sort of like an electric scooter. you just hold on to those bar thingys and it goes...

Incorrect happy.gif All you do is lean forward alittle and they go. You don't even have to hold on to the bars. I've been on one they're crazy.

Yeah I saw these on the news a long time ago.

There used to be a segway store in our community once. After a few weeks, it shut down. I guess Segways are just one of those things that people don't buy unless they really really REALLY want it, and have enough money. I rarely see anyone at all using a segway (whether it's in my town, or out of state), so yeah. I heard that the company isn't even doing that well anyway

You know, if you, um, read the thread, it pretty much gets explained. There's even a picture of one in the very first post.
