Yep, I have summer reading going into highschool. I'm going to read Oliver Twist or The Five People You Meet in Heaven. I might find a few more books to read though, even though I'm not the reading type.

I thought I had an AP English reading assignment, but apparently not. I'm reading the novels anyway: Oliver Twist, The Great Gatsby, & Huck Funn. I also have an AP government reading assignment.

we read 2 out of 3 of those last year

this summer i'm reading the jungle and lies my teacher told me for AP US history (requires fact journals) and eats shoots & leaves for AP/IB language arts, which i have tokeep a journal, find an article on a similar topic, write an essay comparing the two, and then write another essay on my opinion on the subject

I have to read two books. I'm used to having summer reading assignments because I've been doing them since second grade (I'm entering tenth). That's what I get for being in every AP/Pre-AP class and Latin. Oh well, it will look good when you are looking for colleges.

I thought everyone had summer reading? I've been having summer reading since like, ever.

But it's usually a book from a list and another book of your liking (that should be approved by your parents)

Oh my god, summer reading is such a bitch! mad.gif I hate it so much.. this summer I have to read 4 freaking books. Their SO thick & the print is so small that it's hard to read. They are on the most boring subjects/topics too.. I do not know how I'm ever going to get through these 4 books by the time school starts.. ermm.gif At least I'm not the only one thats going through this. I can't stand how it's required too. And we get a test for it when we go back to school. AHHHH!! sad.gif
