which state do you think has the highest crime percentage? Remember there's no right or wrong answer..ur educated opinion.. happy.gif i think its georgia because there they have a lot of criminals and poor places..and some places in georgia are known as the "dirty south" and i believe there are "gangsters" and "mobs" there who commit a lot of crimes..i live here in north jersey..and everything's fine..wink.gif

Believe it or not, masachusetts is BAD! I live in a nice littel neighborhood on the beach, but like, when u leave my neighborhood, and go 2 miles down the road, it is GHETTO. In the newspaper, the city of New Bedford (the ghetto city right near where i live) had the highese rate of heroine atticts. Also on the streets in newbedford u see littel kid smoking weed, and like people iwth guns. ITS BADD. Adn you know there is major drugs when you are driving by newbedford and see a Cadillac escalde with like 2 16 year olds in it.

Thakx god i odont live in newbedford, but i only like about 10 minutes away. My neighborhood is the toatal opposite.

it still cracks me up that people pick GA. we may have a pretty high rate for stupidity right now (a la the runaway bride) but not really crime. the only big crime we've had was that ashley smith thing, and there was no logical reason for that to become a national story

I say new york just because theres enough crime that they can make 5000000000 law and order/csi shows about crime in new york.

I'm not a dumbass because I voted for Illinois. I voted for Illinois because I used to live there, and there was always something on the news about somebody doing a crime. I voted because of EXPERIENCE. stubborn.gif

Yeah, New York does have a high crime rate.  Why?  I think because it has alot of people, popular city, etc...  You know.
*

not neccasrily , crime rates are determined by the number of reports the police have sent to city officials ...and honestly ....i dont think nyc has the highest crime rate as it did during the 90`s .....Cop presence has been extensive ...and because of that there havent been that much .....but that doesnt make nyc not the "top 5"

i would have to say :

1 . Detroit (Lack of Police Presence)
2. Cali (same in the burbs Cops just dont care )
3. NYC i would say alot of crimes around the outer bouroughs but not manhatten itself , only illegal produced items in Canal Street wink.gif

seriously. a lot of my friends are black. and as it happens, the black kids are more likely to puch the white kids out of the way, but that's still not segregation

I don't know about the percentage but i can tell you what the most dangerous state of 2005 is tongue.gif . http://www.morganquitno.com/dang05.htm This link show the most dangerous state from 1-50. 1 being the most dangerous and 50 being the safest lol. I didn't think Nevada would be #1 for most dangerous but like I said Louisiana is really bad and its #2. Louisiana also has the highest murder rate in the United States. I hope this helped a little happy.gif .

I can't believe Arizona is not listed. We are just forgotten here in Arizona. I know for a fact that Arizona is the 3rd highest, and the highest to get your car stolen in.
